Committed to becoming more sustainable, Teknek joined the OECD’s Sustainable Manufacturing Framework just under a year ago. One of the first tasks was to focus on waste at our manufacturing facility. We set out to reduce waste, improve waste segregation and facilitate recycling and we have already made great progress.

As part of the program colleagues worked closely with suppliers and many of our processes and materials have now been redesigned to eliminate waste wherever possible and make unavoidable waste fully recyclable. Progress thus far has resulted in a 15% reduction of waste volumes overall and increasing recyclable waste from 17% to 84%.
